Alison Coltrane says the Open Arms at the Edge of Town Hostel in the Appalachian Trail Community of Luray, VA, was meant to be.

She should know. She created and operates that new hostel.

For three years, the Open Arms Hostel was Alison's dream, until she transformed an old house eight miles west of the Appalachian Trail into a cozy and friendly spot for AT hikers, bicyclists, spelunkers and fisherpeople.

Today, she is open for business and pleasure.

Take the load off and spend a relaxing night with new friends on the porch or around the fire pit.
