Relive the Legacy

According to the Appalachian Trail Conservancy's (ATC) website, they have earned 1,346 new members during the 2014 "Relive the Legacy: The Appalachian Trail" campaign inviting new friends to help the cause of maintaining and protecting the AT.

On Saturday evening, October 25th the ATC will roll into Atlanta to inspire more folks to join the ATC. Special guests speaker will enthrall those in attendance, in addition to the showing of a new film about the AT: The Appalachian Trail: An American Legacy.

Relive the Legacy Speakers

  • Susan Powell; Speed A.T. Thru-Hiker, Coordinator for Outdoor Recreation at UGA, Smokies Ridgerunner, GATC Member, Trail Maintainer, and Ultralight backpacking expert
  • Ron Tipton; ATC's Executive Director/CEO and 2,000-miler
  • Greg Winchester; ATC's Board of Director and ATC life member
  • Mark Hanf; Creator of "Thru Hike: The Appalachian Trail Board Game"
  • Sam Henegar; Film Director and Producer of "The Appalachian Trail: An American Legacy"
  • Javier Folgar; ATC's Director of Marketing and Communications

They'll have great door prizes, and trivia games.

All in addition to playing the never-before-seen film: The Appalachian Trail: An American Legacy.

Relive the Legacy Details

Where: Academic Complex - Atlanta Technical College (BUILDING C), 1560 Metropolitan Parkway SW, Atlanta, GA

When: Saturday October 25, 2014 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Seating: You can arrive 45 minutes before the event starts to check in. Seats are on a first come, first serve basis, unless you are a VIP TICKET holder.

VIP Ticket holders, to receive the full VIP experience, please arrive at least 1/2 hour before the show starts for a private meet & greet of our guest speakers.

TICKETS:
Please be sure to bring a print out of your tickets to check in. When you walk into the venue you will see a table for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. At that time, please present your ticket and proceed to the theater.

PARKING:
Parking is available on the campus. The event will be held in BUILDING C. To view a map of the campus visit http://www.atlantatech.edu/about/campus-map.php.

Can't make it to Atlanta on Saturday? Maybe Charlotte would be better for you.

The whole shebang will reappear in Charlotte on Sunday, October 26th from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Blumenthal Performing Arts - McGlohon Theatre, 345 North College Street.

Watch the movie, meet other Appalachian Trail lovers and have a good time too.
