My dear friends at Right to Hike, Inc. offer you a fun way to get outside with Fido and get some exercise with the nicest people you will ever meet.
The 6th Annual Ella's 5K & Fun Run, presented by Georgia's Own Credit Union, is set for Saturday, October 19, 2013, at the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center starting at 9:00 AM.
The timed 5K course -- that participants can choose to run or walk -- is back. So is the one-mile fun run/walk.
Bring your dogs!
This event will include music, activities, vendors, food and drinks, beer garden, door prizes and much more!
All proceeds from this event will fund Right to Hike's primary focus: donating emergency cell phone units to local parks, trails and greenways.
Right to Hike was founded by Julia Karrenbaur, Brent Seyler and many friends of Meredith Hope Emerson, who perished while hiking.
Right To Hike, Inc. is dedicated to celebrating the life of our friend, Meredith Hope Emerson through raising funds and awareness for causes close to Meredith's heart. We hope to honor her memory by sharing her courage, love of the outdoors and belief that all people have the right to live without fear.
Right to Hike is one of my favorite non-profit organizations and I trust them completely.
