The perception strangers have about Appalachian Trail (AT) thru-hikers is they're all:

o drifters

o dreamers or

o people who are in perfect physical shape

o who have more money and time than they know what to do with.

The truth? They're just people. Imperfect, like the rest of us. But they're people who have what it takes to pursue their goals.

Know what that means? You could hike the AT -- if you set your mind, heart and body to the task ... if you could make the time.
